the ancient Greeks were fond of thinkin about numbers and playing with numbers. they oftenthought of numbers as so many dots, an spent a lot of time arranging dots in different shpes. they thought of one as both a tringle and a square. they also felt that one was the only real number, because all other numbers were made from it.
the Greeks, one was so improtant they made it their symbol for thinking. we seem to feel that one is improtant, too. when we say that someone or something is "number one," we mean that it's the very best

واحد هو شيئ قائما بذاته. ولكن عندما نضيف أكثر من واحد إلى بعض نحصل على أرقام أخرى. تستطيع أن تحصل على أي رقم بإستخدام الرقم واحد. ولا تستطيع أن تفعل ذلك مع أي رقم آخر.
كان "الإغريق= Ancient Greek " هم أول من أغرموا بالتفكير بالأرقام واللعب بالأرقام. وغالبا أنهم فكروا بالأرقام على أساس أنها "نقط = dots" كثيرة. وأمضوا كثيرا من الوقت في ترتيب هذه النقط بأشكال مختلفة. اعتقدوا أن الرقم واحد يمثل المثلث والمربع. وكذلك شعروا أن الرقم واحد كان الرقم الحقيقي الوحيد لأن باقي الأرقام مصنوعة من الرقم واحد.
بالنسبة لليونانيين, رقم واحد كان مهم جدا حيث أنهم جلعوه "رمز= symbol" التفكير. ونحن أيضا نعتقد أن الرقم واحد مهم جدا. عندما نقول أن شخص ما أو شيئ ما ما هو "الرقم واحد=number one " فإننا نعني أنه الأفضل.
